BLOCKS ON A GRID.
FULLY ON-CHAIN.

Block Bot is a fully on-chain NFT collection drawn as half-block terminal art. Every bot is pure black blocks on a #CCFF00 grid, generated from layered traits and stored entirely on-chain. No image host. No servers. Just characters.

WHAT IS BLOCK BOT?

Block Bot is a collection of robots drawn entirely from half-block characters — the same glyphs your terminal uses to build text interfaces. Each bot is a unique combination of traits, rendered as black blocks on a #CCFF00 background.

[ ▀▄█ ]

TERMINAL ART

Every bot is drawn with half-block characters — two pixels per character cell. Pure text, pure art.

[ ON-CHAIN ]

FULLY ON-CHAIN

The entire image is stored on-chain as characters. No image host, no external files. It can never disappear.

02 / HOW IT WORKS

THREE STEPS

Simple on your end. You mint, and the bot is drawn on-chain, forever.

1

GENERATE

Roll a Block Bot in the gallery and pick the traits you like.

2

MINT

Mint your bot. The traits are written to the chain as characters.

3

RENDER

Any wallet or viewer redraws the bot from the characters — pure on-chain art.

03 / THE ART

HALF-BLOCK CHARACTERS

Half-block characters pack two vertical pixels into a single cell. The top pixel is the foreground color, the bottom is the background — so a whole image becomes a grid of text.

THE ART IS THE CODE

Each bot is stored as a string of half-block characters. There is no PNG on a server — the image is reconstructed from the characters wherever it's viewed. That makes Block Bot fully on-chain and impossible to take down.

[A]

On-Chain Storage

The entire image lives on-chain as text. Nothing is hosted off-chain.

[B]

Half-Block Rendering

Two pixels per character cell — the classic terminal art technique.

Layered Traits

8 heads, 10 eyes, 9 mouths, 11 headwear, and 9 extras combine for tens of thousands of unique bots.

05 / FAQ

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

The essentials before you mint.

It's the technique of drawing images using half-block characters (▀, ▄, █). Each character cell holds two vertical pixels — a foreground and a background color — so a full image can be represented as a grid of text characters.
The entire image is stored on the blockchain as characters. There is no external image host or server — the art is reconstructed from on-chain data every time it's viewed.
Each bot is assembled from layered traits — background, head, eyes, mouth, headwear, and extras. The traits combine to produce a wide variety of unique bots.
Black blocks on #CCFF00. The two-tone palette keeps the art clean, bold, and instantly recognizable — and it keeps the on-chain storage tiny.
